Mocha Espresso Martini

Inspired by the Pantone Colour of the Year 2025 – Mocha Mousse (PANTONE 17-1230), you can create your own MORRIS Mocha Espresso Martini following this deliciously decadent recipe.

Ingredients

45ml MORRIS Whisky Muscat Barrel Single Malt

30ml freshly brewed espresso (cooled)

15ml coffee liqueur

15ml chocolate liqueur

10ml simple syrup (or to taste)

5g cocoa powder (for extra chocolate flavour)

Ice cubes

3 coffee beans (for garnish)

 

Method

  1. Brew a shot of espresso and let it cool to room temperature. This will prevent the ice from melting too quickly when mixed with the drink.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add the MORRIS Muscat Barrel, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, simple syrup, and cocoa powder. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to combine thoroughly to create a nice frothy texture on top.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass, ensuring the frothy, chocolatey layer is evenly poured.
  5. Sprinkle a small dusting of cocoa powder or a few grated chocolate shavings on top and garnish with three coffee beans for a classic finish.
  6. Sip and enjoy this decadent, rich mocha twist on the classic espresso martini with the complexity of MORRIS Whisky Muscat Barrel.
