With over 165 years’ experience in creating world-class fortified wines, the craftsmanship has been passed down through six generations of the Morris family. Released in 2009 to mark 150 years of Morris, the CHM Rare Liqueur Muscat pays homage to Charles Henry ‘Mick’ Morris, who pioneered the now world famous and unique style of Australian Muscat wine. CHM is meticulously blended using only the most exceptional wines from renowned vintages. With limited bottles produced each release, this rich and luscious wine exemplifies the layered complexity and flavour intensity that has become the pinnacle of Rutherglen Liqueur Muscats.

CHM is being re-released in strictly limited quantities. This Muscat represents the pinnacle of Morris fortified winemaking – extremely rare and only releasing 100 half bottles each year. Mick crafted the base wine in the 1950s and it has evolved ever since. It is a truly generational wine with material dating back to the early 1900s. An old-world wine, kept alive.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR A deep and brooding dark treacle colour flickering with hues of olive green on the edge.

AROMA: A powerful combination of various characters, including raisin fruit and soft wood aged notes. Brimming with flavour and lusciousness.

PALATE: Great viscosity with a sophisticated complexity of heritage and delicate balance of richness, concentration and approximately 50 year age factor, softened by a gentle freshness.
